The ingredients needed to make Corn Kheer:
  1. Make ready 1/2 cups Corn Kernels
  2. Take 1 litre Milk
  3. Make ready 1tsp - Ghee
  4. Take as per taste Sugar
  5. Make ready 2 tbsp Almonds (finely chopped)
  6. Prepare 2 tbsp - Cashew nuts
  7. Make ready 2 tablespoons Bread crumbs
  8. Make ready 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  9. Make ready 8-10 Saffron thread soaked

Garnish with finely chopped cashews and almonds. Corn Kheer or Pala Padiyum is a milk based sweet made with corn puree. It is usually served with corn vada or makha garelu, although the kheer can be served as it is, as a sweet. Sweet corn kheer is also known as corn payasam.

Instructions to make Corn Kheer:
  1. Boiled and Grind the corn coarsely.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan, and roast crushed corn for min at low flame.
  3. Mean while heat milk in a deep heavy bottom pan.
  4. Add sugar to the milk and cardamom powder. Mix well and boiled it till it thickened.
  5. Add corn and mix well.
  6. Add saffron milk and mix. Add chopped dry fruits. Mix well.
  7. Let the kheer cool down to room temperature. Then keep it in a refrigerator to chill. Served it chilled.
