  1. In a cooking pan, heat the oil, add the onions. Cook till translucent. Add the tomatoes. Cook till they form a paste.
  2. Add in the spices, salt, soy sauce and tomato paste. Stir in the peas and dried fruits and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add in the drained rice and stir thoroughly. Pour in the water and stir to mix in.
  4. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook till all water dries up.
  5. Serve hot with veggies and or preferred stew.
